Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was reportedly involved in last weekend’s six-vehicle crash in Dallas. TMZ reports that Rice owned the Corvette involved in the crash and had leased the Lamborghini from The Classic Lifestyle. Kyle Coker, an attorney for The Classic Lifestyle, confirmed TMZ’s report to KMBC. He stated that Rice had leased the vehicle and was supposed to be the only person allowed to drive it. Coker also told TMZ that Rice had contacted the company following the crash. Dallas authorities have not yet released the identities of the individuals inside the cars or who was driving. Royce West, a Dallas-based attorney, issued a statement on behalf of Rice on Monday. West stated that Rice is cooperating with the police and expressed concern for everyone affected by the accident.Todd Shapiro, a Plano-based attorney also spoke to KMBC earlier in the week. He said Rice might face serious penalties if he was driving one of the vehicles involved. “The passengers and the people who walked away from the cars that were not the driver, it seems more that they exercised bad judgment and low moral character as opposed to breaking any laws,” he said. The crash occurred early Saturday evening in the 6600 block of northbound Central Expressway in Dallas. Dallas police reported that a Chevrolet Corvette and Lamborghini were speeding in the far-left lane of the highway when the Lamborghini struck the center median wall.No arrests or charges have been announced.
