The trial launch of “Saba” Beach, along with the development of the private island, represents a prominent achievement within the framework of “Saudi Cruise’s” efforts to enhance Saudi Arabia’s position as a global destination on the tourism cruise map.
“Jabal Al Sabaya” Island, located about 220 nautical miles from Jeddah, is an exclusive destination specially designed to receive passengers of local and international cruise ships, as it offers a luxurious and exceptional experience in the Red Sea that combines luxury, authentic local culture, and the unique natural beauty of the coasts of Saudi Arabia.
On the occasion of the trial launch, Saba Beach on Jabal Sabaya Island received the first cruise ship passengers yesterday, December 21, 2024, making its passengers the first to experience the experiences available on this private island.
When the first phase of the development of “Saba” Beach on “Jabal Al Sabaya” Island is completed, it will provide an exclusive experience for cruise ship passengers, through an integrated set of distinguished facilities and services, which include a floating water park, a full-service restaurant, a diverse shopping area, in addition to a beach. Private VIP and luxury villas overlooking the waterfront. The island development project comes within a vision that aims to achieve integration between preserving the natural environment and promoting authentic Saudi culture, taking its design from the heritage of the Asir and Hijaz regions, including the designs of coastal Rawashin and traditional inscriptions inspired by Sadu and wicker.
Project work began in 2024, with a focus on applying the highest standards of sustainability, as construction work was carried out in ways that ensure minimal environmental impact, using local materials and traditional handicrafts, in addition to off-site pre-construction techniques to preserve the natural environment surrounding the island.
