A surprise received by the makers of the Egyptian series “Joma”, which stars the actress Mervat AminThe photography studio witnessed unexpected intervention by the forces of the Giza Governorate Security Directorate.
The forces raided the filming location of the series in the Badrashin area of the governorate, after discovering the presence of skeletal weapons that were being used in filming, without the necessary official permits.
The details of the incident are due to the receipt of a report stating that there were people wearing police uniforms inside the “Al-Maghrabi” studio in Giza. Security services immediately moved to the site to investigate the matter, and upon their arrival, they discovered that the studio was being used to film scenes for a new series.
Investigations showed that those responsible for the studio did not obtain the required permits to film the scenes, and skeletal weapons were found inside the location.
Upon inspection of the studio, it was found that the necessary civil safety conditions were not available, which poses a danger to the workers and artists. A report was drawn up on the incident, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations.
After taking the necessary legal measures, the security services arrested six people, including the studio owner and director, in addition to two workers and two extras who were wearing police uniforms.
It is worth noting that “Joma” is participating in the Ramadan 2025 drama, starring Mervat Amin, Mahmoud Abdel-Mughni, Samira Sedqy, Menna Arafa, and Maritna Adel. The series is written by Ahmed Sobhi and directed by Mohamed El-Naqly.
