Supercomputer shocks Barcelona and Bayern Munich before the Champions League draw

Despite Barcelona’s deserved qualification at Napoli’s expense to the Champions League quarter-finals, initial expectations are not in favor of the Catalan team.

The final format of the quarter-finals of the tournament was officially determined, after Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona advanced this week.

The supercomputer of the company “Opta”, which is known for statistics and football numbers, dealt a strong shock to Barcelona in its predictions of the teams most likely to win the Champions League this season.

The computer placed Manchester City in first place as the closest to winning the title with a rate of 32.30%, followed by Real Madrid with 16.87%, Arsenal with 13.09%, and Paris Saint-Germain with 11.80%.

In fifth place came Bayern Munich with 10.75%, Borussia Dortmund with 5.62%, Barcelona with 5.38% and finally Atletico Madrid with 4.19%.

It is worth noting that the draw for the quarter-finals, which will include the path to the semi-finals, will be held tomorrow, Friday, in the Swiss city of Nyon, to determine the path to the final held at Wembley Stadium on June 1.
