Tarek Hamed is a starter in Damac’s lineup against Al Hilal in the Saudi League

Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the technical director of Al-Hilal team, announced the leader’s lineup to face its host, the Saudi Damac team, led by the Egyptian international Tarek Hamed, in preparation for the match that will bring them together at the “Kingdom Arena” stadium in Riyadh, in the second round of the Saudi Professional League competition for the current season 2024-2025 this evening, Wednesday, within the Saudi Professional League competitions.

The leader is looking to continue its great start and achieve the second consecutive victory in its journey to defend the Saudi League title, which it succeeded in obtaining last season at the expense of the runner-up, Al-Nasr.
Al-Hilal achieved a great victory over its counterpart Al-Akhdoud, with a score of 3-0, in the match that brought the two teams together at Prince Hazlul bin Abdulaziz Sports Stadium, as part of the first round of the Saudi League competition.
In contrast, Damac team is looking to collect its first points in the new season in the Saudi League after it started its journey by falling at home to Al-Khaleej, which includes the Egyptian striker Mohamed Sherif, by one goal to none, in the match that was held at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha.
Tarek Hamed joined Damac at the beginning of last season, after moving to it on a free transfer following his departure from Ittihad Jeddah. He participated with his current team in 25 matches in various competitions, during which he did not score any goals and provided two assists.
Al Hilal is looking to continue its record unbeaten streak that it has achieved recently, as it reached the 37th consecutive match without a loss in the Saudi League with its victory over Al-Akhdoud, including two matches in the 2022-2023 season, and 34 matches last season. During the streak, the leader achieved 34 wins and tied in 3 matches.
Al-Zaeem’s last loss in the Saudi League dates back to May 23, 2023, when it lost 2-0 to Al-Adalah in the 28th round of the 2022-2023 season.
Al-Hilal played its first match in the Saudi League for the new season, elated by its coronation as the local Super Cup champion, defeating its rival Al-Nasr 4-1.
