Tens of thousands crowded the Western Wall during the night – the night of Hoshana Rabbah and the dawn prayer (Wednesday), in the shadow of the war that has been going on in Israel for a whole year. The Western Wall Heritage Foundation reported that over 50,000 people visited the Western Wall plaza throughout the night on the occasion of the night of Hoshana Rabbah.
“The highlight was,” they said at the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, “the hawk prayer which was held for thousands of years with the custom of beating the willows near the remains of the Temple.”
The Western Wall Heritage Foundation also stated that the worshipers dedicated their prayers to the peace of the IDF soldiers and the security forces, to the quick return of the abductees soon, to the healing of the wounded and to the peace and security of Israel.
