Real Madrid will play this match without the duo Rudiger and Thibaut Courtois, and Ancelotti also intends to rest some players, stressing that the team is seeking to win the King’s Cup for the 21st time in its history.
“The Spanish Cup is not a problem until you exit the tournament, because Real Madrid is trying to win all the titles,” Ancelotti said.
Ancelotti stressed, “We will go into this tournament with great enthusiasm as usual, because it is an important competition and we have always been very happy with it in recent seasons. We will try to make every effort and respect our opponent in order to qualify for the next round.”
“The Merengue” is trying to win the King’s Cup, which has been absent from its coffers for two seasons, as it won the 20th title in its career during the 2022-2023 season, after winning the final over Osasuna (2-1).
In the last edition, Los Blancos bid farewell to the competition at the price of the final at the hands of its rival and neighbor, Atletico Madrid, by losing (2-4), so it seeks to reconcile its fans and regain the cup that it won the season before last.
