Very sad. Sergeant major in the reserves Ran Yaebetz, 39 years old and father of three, was killed in battle in the Gaza Strip. Yaebetz was a fan of Maccabi Tel Aviv and left behind his wife Tamar and his children Itai, Nega and Or. He joins many sports fans who fell during the difficult war that exacts unbearable prices.

His funeral will take place tonight at 23:00 at the military cemetery in Modi’in. Residents of Modi’in Maccabim Reot are invited to join the chain of flags that will accompany the family as they leave Ran’s house, at 29 Shimon Peres St. at 9:50 p.m.

Route: Shimon Peres 29, right to Emek Hefer, Sderot Paz, right to Emek Zebulon, Transport Square, right to Harevet St. and from there to the MAR, Blood of the Maccabim St., Municipality Square, Municipal School 1, Emek Elah, right to Loh Hebrew 23, Back to the right to Emek Elah, Sderot Hareks and from there to a cemetery.

You are also invited to come with the Israeli flag, stand along the route and honor Ran on his last journey. Distribution of flags near the family home starting at 9:45 p.m. Maccabi Tel Aviv fans hung a sign in his memory in the final of the State Cup in basketball against Hapoel Jerusalem:
