The Minister of Finance issues a decision to pay the March salaries of state workers with new increases

Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, said that, starting from the salary of the current month of March, the periodic bonus will be paid to those addressed by the provisions of the Civil Service Law, which was increased to 10% of the job wage for each of them on February 29, with a minimum of 150 pounds per month, and without a maximum. This bonus is considered part of the employee’s job wage on the first of this March. State employees who are not subject to the provisions of the Civil Service Law will also be granted a special bonus of 15% of the basic wage for each of them on February 29, with a minimum of 150 pounds per month, and no maximum. This bonus is part of the worker’s basic wage on the first of this March.

The Minister indicated that, starting from the salary of the current month of March, the additional monthly incentive will also be increased for employees subject to the provisions of the Civil Service Law and employees who are not subject to it, in lump sum financial categories of 500 pounds for occupants of the sixth class, 550 pounds for occupants of the fifth class, and 600 pounds for occupants of the fourth class. And 650 pounds for third-class occupants, 700 pounds for second-class occupants, 750 pounds for first-class occupants, 800 pounds for general manager occupants, 850 pounds for high-class occupants, and 900 pounds for excellent-class occupants or the equivalent of each, and whoever is appointed after this benefit. Date, this incentive is part of the supplementary wage or variable wage.

The minister added that the minimum total amount of increases scheduled for state employees is one thousand pounds per month, for those holding the sixth, fifth, and fourth grades, and 1,100 pounds for those holding the third, second, and first grades, and 1,200 pounds for those holding the grades of general manager, high, and excellent, and in cases where the total amount the employee or worker receives is less than the “bonus.” Periodic, special, grant, or additional incentive” over the prescribed amounts. The difference between them is entitled to be called “the minimum social package allowance” and is kept as part of the supplementary or variable wage, as the case may be.

The minister stated that the total cost of periodic and special bonuses, the additional incentive, and the minimum social package bonus amounts to 68 billion pounds, pointing out that the Ministry of Finance has made available to the administrative authorities the necessary amounts to disburse these increases to state workers.

The Minister added that if the worker is entitled to a pension for himself and has not reached the age of sixty, the special allowance will be paid to him if the conditions for entitlement to it are met, and his employer must notify the pension disbursing body of this. If this allowance is less than the increase in the pension, the pension will be increased by the amount of the difference between them. If the allowance is equal to or exceeds the increase in pension, the increase in pension will not be paid to him.

The Minister said that if the worker is entitled to a pension on his own behalf and has reached or exceeded the age of sixty, the increase in the pension will be paid to him. If this increase is less than the special allowance, he is entitled to the difference between them from the entity in which he works, after obtaining an official statement from the entity in charge of disbursing the pension of the amount. The increase due to him, and if the worker is entitled to a pension on behalf of others, he has the right to combine the special allowance with the increase in the pension, taking into account the provisions of the Social Insurance and Pensions Law.
