The Moroccan national beach team begins its first training in preparation for the Nations Cup in Egypt

The Moroccan beach soccer team held its first training session on the sub-court, in preparation for the African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, hosted by Egyptian territories, and whose competitions will be held in Hurghada, during the period from 19 to 26 October.

The draw resulted in the division of the 8 teams into two groups, where the first group includes: Egypt national beach soccer team – Morocco – Tanzania – Ghana, while the second group includes Senegal – Mozambique – Malawi – Mauritania.

And it includes Team list Guarded by: Mohamed Al-Sayed, Ibrahim Hassan and Ahmed Hamdy, and the players Mustafa Shika, Mohamed Abdel Nabi Loha, Hassan Mohamed, Ahmed Al-Shahat, Haitham Atef Costa, Abdel-Rahman Al-Shafi’i, Mustafa Ali Sasa, Ismail Bahgat, Hossam Paolo, Ahmed Isha, and Ahmed. Crocodile and Mahmoud Imad Oti.

The technical staff includes: Ahmed Abu Saree, general coach, Mohamed Fawzi, goalkeeper coach, Dr. Mohamed Akmal, medical doctor, Abbas Hassanein, the masseuse, Moamen Nabawi, administrative director, Wael Talal, media coordinator, and Islam Shaker, task manager.

Egypt will host the Africa Cup of Nations Beach Soccer finals for the second time, after hosting the 2018 edition, where it then ranked third. Egypt finished the last edition of the competition, which took place in Mozambique, in second place. Egypt represented Africa in the last Beach Soccer World Cup, alongside Senegal.

Ghana participated in the 2015 and 2016 editions, but has not been able to qualify for the finals since then. Ghana failed to advance beyond the group stage in the finals, and hopes to achieve that in this year’s edition, in Egypt.

Ghana defeated Côte d’Ivoire by a score of 10-5 in the qualifiers, to qualify for the finals, and will begin its campaign against Egypt next Saturday, while its second match will be against Morocco.

Morocco is participating for the sixth time in the finals of the African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, and Morocco reached the semi-finals in the 2015 and 2016 editions.
Morocco won two bronze medals in the finals of the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations (2021 and 2022), and ranked fourth in the 2016 and 2018 editions.

Tanzania is participating for the third time in the finals of the Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations, where it hopes to surpass the group stage for the first time. Tanzania’s first participation, in the 2018 edition, was in Egypt, where it ranked last in Group B.

Tanzania’s results improved somewhat during their participation in the second edition in 2021, finishing third in the group stage of Group A.
