Books – Muhammad Abu Bakr:

Journalist Mustafa Bakri demanded the opening of an urgent and transparent investigation into what happened with the Egyptian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, and it should not go unnoticed, saying: “Whoever cannot bear the responsibility should step down from it, and Egyptians’ blood is not cheap, and I hold the tourism companies responsible for the greatest responsibility behind this issue.”

Bakri added, during the presentation of the “Facts and Secrets” program broadcast on Sada El Balad channel: “Hundreds of people have been lost, and no one knows who is responsible for them. We are awaiting the statements of those responsible. The issue is big and not small, and it should not go unnoticed.”

Journalist Mustafa Bakri confirmed that there is no talk in the Egyptian street currently above the fate of the deceased and missing Egyptian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, saying: “What happened should not pass without accountability, and we want to know who is responsible behind all of this.”

Mustafa Bakri continued: “The House of Representatives will discuss requests for briefing regarding the details of this case, and will determine the cause of the death of these pilgrims, and who is responsible for leaving Egyptians in the street under high temperatures during Hajj.”

He explained that President Sisi’s directives to form a work cell to follow up and manage the crisis of the deaths of Egyptian pilgrims aim to find out the truth, adding: “So far, 600 deaths and 250 missing have been announced, and I do not think that is the case, and the president and the Egyptian state will not tolerate what happened.”

He continued: “I hope that Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly will come to the House of Representatives and speak about the issue of the deceased and missing Egyptian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, and that everyone will listen.”

Mustafa Bakri added: People have the right to know what is happening. We are a country with the largest number of missing persons, and we raise the question: where are the specialized tourism companies in this matter? There are people who were not entitled to leave Egyptian territory.

He concluded: “This case must be the subject of investigation, and the case must be made public and what happened must be clarified.”
