Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority, said that 2,100 national companies implementing the activities of the Riyadh Season 2024 represent about 95% of the companies implementing the season, according to Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper.
Al-Sheikh explained during a conference in Riyadh to reveal details of the new season that the revenues of the next season will exceed the previous season, stressing that the capacity of the Riyadh Season 2024 events will increase by about 40%.
He pointed out that “The Venue” is one of the new areas in the Riyadh Season 2024, as it hosts 7 events with a capacity of 8,000 visitors, indicating that the season will include 14 entertainment areas that will host 11 world championships.
According to data numbersThe number of visitors to entertainment events and activities during the year 2023 exceeded 72 million visitors, an increase of 17% compared to 2022, while the number of licenses issued exceeded 6,000 licenses granted in 117 cities.
Riyadh Season 2023 achieved many accomplishments and priorities, by hosting many major entertainment events and activities, most notably three international boxing matches, a martial arts match, in addition to tennis, snooker, padel and skiing championships, the Riyadh Season Football Cup Championship, and hosting the Egypt Cup.
