Toni Kroos: Germany is no longer safe and I will live in Spain

German star Toni Kroos said that his country is no longer safe, confirming that he will live in Spain after retiring from football at the end of his country’s journey in the European Nations Cup (Euro 2024).

After his farewell to the Euro 2024 tournament held in Germany after losing to Spain 1-2 in the quarter-finals of the tournament, Kroos appeared on the “Lanz & Precht” podcast, in which he made his shocking statements.

Kroos spoke on several topics, including that he decided to stay in Spain, and said that “Germany is no longer as safe as it was 10 years ago” when he left. He would not feel comfortable allowing his daughter to go out at night.

He added that after retirement he looks forward to spending more time with his children, something he was deprived of during his career on the pitch.

Kroos (34 years old) announced at the end of the previous season that he would retire from playing permanently after participating with the German national team in Euro 2024.

He also praised the young Spanish winger Amin Jamal, saying: “It is unusual to play football in this way at this age.”
