On the other hand, dozens of Jerusalemites were forced to perform Tarawih prayers on the first night of Ramadan at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the roads leading to it after the occupation forces prevented them from entering it, while hundreds of others were able to enter the mosque.
The occupation imposes severe restrictions on the entry of worshipers into Al-Aqsa Mosque, and hundreds of police officers have been deployed at key points in the Old City, and they will continue to do so throughout the month of Ramadan, according to what Israeli Channel 12 reported earlier on Sunday.
The month of Ramadan this year falls amid a devastating war launched by Israel against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has left tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of them children and women.
