In a 2015 interview with VogueTrump recalled how she met Kushner. She said they first crossed paths in 2007 when they attended a business lunch to talk about real estate. Trump explained that the lunch was set up by a mutual friend and a commercial real estate broker when she and Kushner were both 25.

Jared Kushner married Ivanka Trump at her father’s golf club

After two years of dating, the two married in 2009 at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

According to Vogueit was a star-studded ceremony with 500 guests. Before they wed, Trump converted to Judaism, as Kushner and his family are Orthodox.

“We’re pretty observant, more than some, less than others. I just feel like it’s such an intimate thing for us,” Trump told Vogue about their religion. “It’s been such a great life decision for me. I am very modern, but I’m also a very traditional person, and I think that’s an interesting juxtaposition in how I was raised as well. I really find that with Judaism, it creates an amazing blueprint for family connectivity.”

Jared Kushner is Ivanka Trump’s ‘best friend’

Trump opened up about her relationship with Kushner in a 2009 interview with New York magazine.

While recalling their love story, she called Kushner her “best friend.”

“Jared is my best friend for many reasons, largely because I’ve allowed him to see who I truly am and he still loves me. I don’t feel like I have any defensive walls built up around me,” Trump said. “He’s so kind as a human being, I look up to him.”

Trump then called Kushner her “hero” and said she admires his “ability to remain focused.”

“Sometimes I catch myself looking at him and being thankful that I have grown to a level of personal maturity that I would value so much the qualities he has,” she said.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner enjoy ‘mellow’ activities

One thing that Ivanka Trump adores about her hubby is that he’s not “‘on’ all the time,” she told New York magazine.

“We’re very mellow,” she said. “We go to the park. We go biking together. We go to the 2nd Avenue Deli. We both live in this fancy world. But on a personal level, I don’t think I could be with somebody — I know he couldn’t be with somebody — who needed to be ‘on’ all the time.”

“I don’t think we’ve ever been to a nightclub together in two years,” she added. “I’m really thankful for that. I have a lot of stamina, but I don’t think I have the stamina to work as hard as I do and play that hard.”

Jared Kushner is a ‘determined optimist’

Kushner is a Harvard graduate and real estate mogul. Forbes says that Kushner is on track to becoming a billionaire.

In January, Trump shared a clip of her husband’s interview with podcaster Lex Fridman. In the clip, Kushner explained how he goes about achieving his goals.

“If I fail at one thing, if the door closes, I’ll try the window. If the window closes, I’ll try the chimney. If the chimney closes, I’ll try to dig a tunnel. It’s just, if you want to accomplish something, you just have to go at it,” he told Fridman.

On X, Trump complimented her husband’s approach.

“I personally love this clip as it reveals the determined optimist who firmly believes that there’s always a solution if you’re willing to try enough paths,” she said. “I love this about Jared… and it’s a good reminder as we start the new year!”
