Zamalek defeats its youth team in a friendly match in preparation for facing Al-Ahly

Zamalek’s first football team defeated the youth team, with four goals to one, in the friendly match that took place between them today, Saturday, at the club’s stadium, as part of the Whites’ preparations for the African Super Cup match against Al-Ahly Club.

The match started quickly from both teams, and Mohamed Hamdy managed to score the first team’s lead goal in the third minute with a shot from outside the penalty area, with the ball going to the left of the goalkeeper.

In the fourteenth minute, Sidi Ndiaye managed to score the equaliser for the youth team with a powerful shot from inside the first team’s penalty area. The two teams continued their attempts to score, but to no avail, and the first half ended in a positive tie (1-1).

In the 55th minute, the first team scored the second goal from a cross by Omar Farag that hit one of the youth team defenders and entered the goal.

The Polish Konrad Michalak added the third goal for the first team in the 76th minute with a shot from inside the youth team penalty area that went to the right of the goalkeeper, before Nasser Mansi added the fourth goal for the first team in the 80th minute with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area that went to the left of the goalkeeper, to end the match with the first team winning by four goals to one.

The technical staff, led by Portuguese Gomez, was keen to prepare the new deals through the friendly match and to try out the substitute players and those excluded from the match against Kenyan Police, which was held yesterday in the second leg of the 32nd round of the Confederation Cup.

The first football team of Zamalek Club is preparing to face its counterpart, Al-Ahly Club, in the African Super Cup, scheduled for next Friday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
